Waxworks in the Sun
In Blackpool last weekend I went to a waxworks museum which was just awful. I hated pretty much everything about it including the fact that they were painting and decorating the walls...Today's success tip shows how this relates to our success:
Have a superb day!
Becoming an Expert in Anything in 6 Months or LESS
Today's success strategy is one that I have used for a long time and one I know many other people have had amazing results from. It allows you to become an expert in any area within 6 months, and often even less.Using what I said yesterday about getting up an hour early, well here is just one idea of what you could do with that hour.
And tomorrow I'll show you something I learned in Blackpool...and no its not how to ride a Donkey.
Something I was Hiding
This is not today's official post, that is on it's way later. You will notice that I have been recording the last few blog posts all at once and sending them out to you day-by-day and there is a reason for this that I am ready to share with you now.
You may have noticed a slight change in my videos since the third video I posted on spotting liars. Some people emailed me asking what had happened to my voice so thanks for your concern. Basically my voice was not the problem. Only now am I shaking off the last of an ear infection that caused me to be completely deaf in my right ear.
So I couldn't hear my own voice properly hence I may have sounded weird. I recorded the videos for last weekend and the following few days all at once because I was unsure whether I would have to go in to hospital for an operation, but wanted to still keep feeding you addiction to my tips. So they were recorded between spats of me swearing profusely in pain.
Also you may have noticed the bags under my eyes because of the lack of sleep I had been getting. Thankfully, last night I had a wonderful night's sleep and am feeling almost 100% again. Anyway, just thought you deserved to know what was happening, I'll stick the next video online just before midday today.
Until then, take care and thanks!

Getting Out of Bed is the Key
I had never been to Blackpool - well not in the summer at least. The only time i had been was to the international magician's convention which is held in February. So there was a show in Blackpool and we made a mini weekend of it. The weather was incredible, no fog, no rain just blissful sunshine - what a great way to escape. While there I got to thinking about success and what it is so I have recorded some more strategies for success which will come to you over the next few days and then we'll take a u-turn in to a completely different subject area.
I look forward to speaking to you tomorrow, remember to take some action right now otherwise you never will - and post your thoughts, ideas and comments below.
My Car Accident
While you read this I am traveling back from Blackpool. Shows over the weekend are unusual for me as most are during week day evenings but its been a very successful weekend for me. I'll upload a video from Blackpool for tomorrow's blog I think.Today I share the next part of your success strategies and hope that you enjoy them.
I hope that you're enjoying my blog, sometimes its intense training like this, others is just incidental fun stuff, some mind games and following me around the place. Remember that the blog is designed to take you away, transport you for a mere 3 minutes every day so if you know someone who could do with that little relief do give them the link right now...do it in the next 24 hours or you never will ;)

Wrap Yourself in Carbon Paper
Good morning from England! Today's clip from the 'success school' looks at how you can be just as successful as anyone else, and all that it requires it for you to completely change everything about yourself ;).Think about it and do it right away because, as I showed you yesterday - if you don't do it before tomorrow's blog you will NEVER do it and you'll continue being the same person you are now. Which is fine, if that's what you want.
24 Hours or Die
In yesterday's clip from the success strategies I asked you to focus on whether you are ready to succeed and I hope that you have decided that you do want to. So in today's clip I will share with you something that I read a long time ago that I haven't seen since.Tomorrow I'll move on to the next level of how you can be just like your favourite success story.

Most People Are AFRAID of Success
It sounds insane but the reason that most people do not succeed is because they are scared to. Success is not a physical thing at all, it is a state of mind and everyone views success differently. Some say success is about financial gain, others about how little or often they work, where they work and who they work for.It is different for everyone and today's blog post will ask you the question 'are you ready to succeed?'.
This series was recorded all at once but has been split over several days in to bite size pieces so you can consume and muse over them to make the strategies more effective. We're dealing with the mind here so we need time to absorb the information on all levels.
Give Me Some Action
Today's blog tip features a new look, a new topic and maybe a new you? If it was a self help course thats probably what the ad blurb would say...in reality its fun so please enjoy it.More tomorrow, in the meantime tell me what it is you would like to achieve...what are your dreams? Your goals? Desires? Post your comment below - no need to register you can even post anonymously!

A Movie I Like And Spotting Liars Tip #4
Good afternoon. I learned an important lesson today - dont skimp. I went to the local shop to buy some new batteries for the wee camera I use for the blog posts and rather than the usual Duracell superdooper battery I thought I'd go for the Sony ones. Although slightly cheaper, Sony are a 'good' brand. Turns out not for batteries because as soon as i turned on the camera of wonder, the light started flashing saying the battery was low - id just replaced them.Anyway, last night we watched a really great movie that I thought I'd tell you about - its called Butterfly on a Wheel and although I wasn't sure of it from what I'd read it is up there as one of the best movies for a long time. So do check it out.
Anyway, on to the video blog for this fine and beautiful summers day, its How to Spot a Liar tip # 4:
Thanks for all the kind comments, I'll speak to you tomorrow.

How to Spot a Liar #2

Have a great day!

How To Spot a Liar #1
I have received a number of comments and even more emails asking me to share tips of how you can read people's body language to see if they are telling the truth or lying. So today is the first part of me answering that request with 2 tips of traits that can give away a liar. Please remember that these things are of no use on their own so please wait until you have seen all of the tips in this series before accusing people or confronting them because sometimes these traits have nothing to do with the truth but have another reason behind them entirely. However I will be showing you how to tell the difference.
Please keep your stories of lies and fibs coming by posting below...no need to register just post your story and if you dont want to be traced or named then that's fine too!
Brainwash Everyone You Meet
I do read every reply, comment and thought on this blog myself. There is no team behind me on this one, its my blog and I manage it. When reading through some comments the other day I came across a post from someone who wanted more techniques they could actually go out there and use. Of course I do teach many tactics and approaches in my live courses but I thought that I would share some titbits of information from the course with you here.Today's post is one technique that I call the Double Bind and it means that you can make people pretty much do what you want. If you want to go to the cinema with some friends if you simply ask them "do you want to do to the cinema?" there is a chance they will say 'no'. Using the technique i describe in today's video blog this will rarely happen again.
Thanks for your continued support, I'd love to hear about the ways you use this, so post your stories and ideas in the comments below :)

Franky Failed - And It's Important!
Hello there,Today I have been asked to talk to school students about how they can use skills of persuasion, influence and covert psychology to advance themselves in their careers. It is the second time in 2 weeks I have been asked to share some of my ideas and know-how on the subject of influencing people and how they apply to every day life, work and social settings.
I'll be at Churchill Community College in North Tyneside today until after 7pm running workshops and lecturing on the subject of how changes in our mental attitude can literally transform the way we think about our lives, the ways in which we live them and how we succeed.
Last night we went out for a meal with some friends to Franky and Benny's. Not exactly top end restaurant but it's what the other couple fancied so we obliged, and to be honest you can do a lot worse.
Frankie and Benny's are known for offering what I'd consider mediocre food and dining experiences, for above average prices. But their saving grace is always the service and the quantity they stock on to your plate. Last night this was not the case. Every portion was skimpy, the dressings and sides were childlike and being assertive as I am I broached this with one of the waiting staff.
The waitress informed me that this was the downfall of the new head chef and that the staff too had noticed the deterioration of the meals.
It just goes to prove that when you promise something or create an expectation I am of the opinion that meeting those is a given, it should be done without thinking. However I personally go further than this, and all of my friends have this drummed in to them - I consider delivering on a promise to be just good manners, and I don't want to be just another well mannered young man. Rather, I'd like to be seen as exceptional. So I make it my personal mission to over deliver - every single time. No matter what you promise someone give them 20% MORE and believe me this will create an impression in their mind that sticks and they want to talk about.
But to under deliver - well that's why the word refund exists.
I'll be posting a video blog later this evening so please do check back for that at around 8pm. Of course if you want to be alerted as soon as my blog is updated as well as knowing what I am up to right now, please join the free online service called Twitter, it takes about 30 seconds to join and then choose to follow me at www.twitter.com/mindofkennedy

Late but in the Meantime
Today's video blog post will be posted late. Technical issues, but in the meantime I thought I would tell you about the show I went to see on Saturday night and how it compared to the massive movie Mama Mia, which is out in cinemas right now - which I went to see yesterday. The show Tess was in all last week was called Boogie Nights. It was a 70s style musical with all the classics in there including Play That Funky Music and the YMCA and pretty much everything else in between. I was nervous about seeing it because this 'feel good' 'party' musical really is not my thing.
I was hugely impressed. Massively. The sets were amazing, the cast on a whole were excellent, the music sounded lovely and the energy was excellent. As you can probably guess from watching yesterday's video I was underwhelmed by the leading man and in truth the leading woman looked out of her depth.
I know I mentioned this yesterday but arrogance is dangerous. The main problem with arrogance is that you often believe you are better, or being perceived as far better than you are. Which is a shame. The lead 'couple' came across as insecure through their arrogance and the audience commented on it throughout. I prefer people to be sincere.
Overall, I loved the show, even though the leads were carried by the supporting cast - who were excellent. The show was an all round great night out that certainly left everyone with a smile on their faces.
So Sunday Tess was on that whole come down from performing so we had decided to go and see the new musical movie Mamma Mia. Of course a musical that has been on London's west end for what seems a long time now, I've walked past the theatre many times and its looked like a great night out.
The move was a let down. Just tenuous links to songs, combined with overacting on behalf of almost every member of the cast. People who I often praise were awful including Mery Streep who was just awful. The leading girl looked like she was on acid with her inability to act. The only saving grace that kept me from walking out was Julie Walters. She shines. Her honesty and genuine charm shines through.
Its up there with the worst movies of the year. Disappointing.
Anyway, this is not a review blog but I hate not posting until later so needed to hare something with you.
I WILL speak to you later, and to make up for it I'll make it an interactive fun piece...brownies honour.
Giant Freaks and Being Liked
Yesterday I went out to the Mouth of the Tyne Festival, held each summer in Tynemouth on the north-eastern coast. The last few years have been a bit disappointing but this year there was a lot of cool stuff. Including incredible acrobatic street dance, escape artists, a man and his mechanical horse and a parade of super tall freaky looking things (see pic). I've seen quite a lot of street entertainment but yesterday blew my mind!
Anyway, on to today's video blog post. Last night I went to see Tess in a show called Boogie Nights and it fitted really well with what I wanted to talk about in today's blog. Being Liked. Yesterday I talked about how to work out if someone is interested in you, well today I am going to share with you a technique that you can use to be liked and seen as someone who is caring. The applications are endless. Enjoy.
Have a great day, I'll speak to you tomorrow.
Kennedy's Foot Fetish
Today I thought I'd share with you one of the areas that I have been writing about in my book - I'll tell you more about it later, its nowhere near ready - that allows you to see if someone is interested in who you are and what you have to say, or if they'd rather walk out the room and never see you again. The applications for this technique are infinite when you consider dating - is this person actually interested in me? Sales - are they buying the product/service? Speaking - are the people listening to me? and the list goes on. Any time you communicate you will be able to hedge your bets as to how successful you are being.
How To Use Your BUTT as an Eraser
Like the thief with the lardy ass, you too can rub out the footprints you leave behind with your but and in today's video blog I am going to share with you the secret use of the word 'but' that allows me to get what I want out of people and have them happy to do it. A great tool for motivating people, for discipline and for really damaging them too.I think its almost time for a hair cut, so that is a job for next week.
Of course if you know anyone who is looking for an after dinner entertainer or a speaker do point them in my direction.

I Shared Some Secrets - for the FIRST time!
Today I was asked to speak at Longhirst Hall in Northumberland. Today was about how to use psychological techniques to improve our friendship building, relationship building and success rates in interviews. The techniques I shared today basically allow you to to have an unfair advantage when it comes to communicating with anyone, under and and all circumstances by being liked, respected and ever adored. Here is a today's video from the conference today:Speak tomorrow!
Daventry
Yesterday I took the 5 hour trip to Banbury (not to be confused with that shocking checkered chav brand of clothing) and today I made the same journey home. En route home my cab was late picking me up from the hotel, then they charged me an additional £10 on top of the fair for calling them out. It was touch and go whether I'd make the train on time. Scheduled for 9:53, I arrived in to the station at 9:55. Luckily the train was running late and pulled in at 9:57 so I made it.The life of Riley I lead, but I love the antics and apparently you like reading about them, so thanks for that.

Hilarious Testimonial
Good morning,I'm posting this pretty early in the day because I am traveling from Newcastle to Daventry all day - performing for a large group of school photographers at their conference this evening.
Today's post is something I filmed after the charity event at the Macmillan Cancer Support fundraiser in Sunderland. I'm sharing it because it is possibly the funniest testimonial I have ever had. I usually perform for large and medium size corporates so this was a breath of fresh (ahem) air. It was good to be back among the Geordie accent...apparently I'm 'the boy' check it out below an revel:
Is that a Ben Sherman he's wearing? He's probably wearing a tracksuit under that shirt!!
Yesterday I posed the question: which hand is the coin in (see the video from yesterday below) and today I am going to give you the answer as well as offering a prize to the first 10 people who get this right.
Here's how we'll do it. Below are two links, click on what you think is the correct answer, if you think I was holding the coin in my left hand click on 'left hand' and if in the right, click 'right hand'.
Left Hand
Right Hand
Good luck. Today I will be filming my blog from a hotel in Banbury, near Daventry and I'll be sharing that with you tomorrow...that video is still making me laugh, I'm going to watch it again.

I Had a Dream Last Night
This is not today's official 'post', I will be getting my little camera out later to video something really special that I am quite excited about. So far the response the the blog posts has been very positive, so thank you very much. One thing that a few have been surprised at was my lack of 'selling'. I think some are expecting me to use this space to sell my shows and things to you - it really is not about that its just about having some fun.Anyway, the reason I am writing this mini post this morning is because of a strange dream I had last night. It was possibly the strangest I've ever had. The reason it was strange will become clear quite soon.
So in my dream it was Tomorrow and I am on my way to a show near Daventry which is approximately 4 and a half hours south of where I am now.
So I arrive at the railway station in Newcastle and for some reason I had to go to the ticket office to collect my tickets. I had plenty of time, a whole hour and the cue wasn't too long.
I stood for ages and quickly realised that my train would be leaving in 5 minutes yet there were still 11 people in front of me. So i decided to leave the cue and buy my ticket on the train - which is more expensive.
I boarded the train and the carriage i sat in was empty apart from me and the female conductor. A buxom blond who smelled of oil. We pulled away from the station and I thought about the 4 1/2 hours I had to sit i that seat and it dawned on me that I hadn't picked up the laptop from my desk. FOUR AND A HALF HOURS.
I slumped in to the chair and the train guard lady looked over at me. "You okay there?" I relayed my story, at the end of which she asked for my ticket to which I replied "I need to buy one to Daventry" she looked confused. It turned out that this train was traveling at 100mph in a northerly direction. I'd caught the wrong train.
I hung my head in to my hands. And this is where it because strange. I said out loud "this has got to be a dream, i get the train all the time - i just wish I could wake up" - the woman smiled at me. I got off the train at the next station and boarded another train.
I remember arriving at my destination and seeing an old school friend of mine called Michael Watson. We walked down the platform together chatting, he was talking about going to South America to teach kids sport.
I woke up. How strange.
Thought I'd just share that with you and later today I will be posting a video. I am on the road again tomorrow but I hope that I have wifi access either on the train (that would be a cool video) or at the hotel.
Speak later. - thanks for being part of this.

On the Street
Bonjour - its a thoroughly over-cast day here where I live on the Northern British Coast. But although the weather outside is grim I am getting all excited about all the ideas I've been coming up with for things I want to share with you on this blog over the next 24 or so days. The video I am sharing with you today was filmed over 2 years ago, and I have just rediscovered it so thought it might be nice to share it with you. It's a bit glitchy but its not bad none-the-less.
In this coming week I am going to be posting a very exciting interactive video that will give you a chance to win some cool stuff...yep so make sure that you join the Newsletter Group by sticking your name and email address in to the boxes just there>>>>
Anyway, here is a video, over 2 years old of me performing in an area of Newcastle that was known as 'The Green'.

Mind Reading for Charity
Last night I was performing at a charity ball for Macmillan Cancer Support. I arrived early to set up and recorded this wee video just for you.Just before you click on the PLAY button, you will have noticed a change to the layout of my blog. I wanted to make the whole thing a lit easier on the eye. I've added some new features including links to my Twitter, myspace, Facebook and bebo pages so you can keep an ever closer eye on me. As well as a free newsletter which currently includes a free gift of a book I wrote over 2 years ago. A big 'Thank You' to Andy Irvine for the new header banner (www.andyirvinecv.co.uk).
Now on to today's video, filmed at the event last night when I had managed to get over the hangover.
Did you enjoy this insight in to my antics? Please digg it and share it:
The Day After The Pinot

Good morning world,
Today is the first, and I hope the only day that I will not be posting a video entry to my blog this month. Why? Well yesterday I was keeping myself sober. It was my 24th birthday and I planned to have a nice Italian lunch followed by a visit to the Theatre Royal in Newcastle where a play by the name of Sleuth was showing. That was one amazing day which was preluded with gifts that mean the world to me. (thanks!!)
Then the evening came and my actor friend from London, we'll call him Alex because that ladies and gentlemen, is his name - he invited me out for a birthday drink. Oh dear. So the reason I shall not be posting any kind of video of myself today is because rather than looking like a genetic mutation of a son of Billy Idol and Annie Lennox today, I look like a shriveled gerbil. And you really dont want to see that - seriously you dont, I dont want to be responsible for your regurgitation of what was probably a very nice meal. Rule of the 25th birthday will be 'dont drink a bottle of Kopparberg followed by 2 bottles of Rose Wine'.
I am hoping to pull myself round before this evening as I am performing, and yes I will be taking the camera along with me to give you eye-witness account of what is happening. So tomorrow there will be video, for today it is a mental image of me leaning over a toilet bowl hoping there is a man called Huey down ther ebecause I will be shouting for him from the bottom of my soul.
And heck, even if I am still ill, i'll be there - smiling, shiney and vibrant whilst melting underneath.
Thanks for reading, more fun and frollocks tomorrow...including a video. Brownie's honour.

A Post a Day Keeps the Boredom Away
Happy July to you!I am sorry it has been a little while since I posted but I think what I am about to announce will more than make up for it.
For the whole of July I am going to be making a post on my blog every-single-day! Yes I promise that no matter where I am, what I am doing, week-day or weekend I will post something here to keep you updated with my antics, my mood and more. What's more I am hoping to make most of these posts VIDEO posts.
I have just registered with even more online video thingies such as metacafe, google video, yahoo video and of course I'm still on vimeo and youtube so you will find every video I release on all of those formats. WHY?
The reason for all the formats is because I know that many workplaces try to ban and block these video sites, so I thought if i have a lot of different resources that you can find me on you have maximum chance of being able to keep up with me. Fun times.
So to get things started, below is today's video - you may have already seen it but it is the launch of the post-a-day programme so please celebrate by watching my 2007 promotional trailer - yes you'll see me playing Russian Roulette with live revolvers:
