I'm Back!
Yes - I have been on my travels around the UK performing in nice places like Birmingham, London and this weekend also in Stratford Upon Avon where William Shakespeare originates. Although I was in town I didn't have time to go over any ideas with Uncle Will although he did call to arrange a cup of tea - there just wasn't time.
The new show seems to be going down a storm with everyone who comes in to contact with it, the laughs are louder than ever and I just love watching the jaws dropping around the room at the end of the show when I reveal some of the most shocking mind control you've ever seen. I'm not boasting, I'm proud.
I am going to try to give you some video blogs throughout December, they were extremely popular during July, but I have a feeling that the sheer volume of shows I have this coming month will mean I will be exhausted and certainly too rough looking between shows to even think about pointing a camera anywhere near my face. In honesty I'd hate to inflict a close-up of a ragged, tired Kennedy in to your life, but we will see how we go.
I am excited about the potential of exciting new projects lines up for 2009 and of course readers of this here blog will be told as soon as possible, in fact the moment I am able to reveal the gory details I will email every member of the Mind Mastery group (you can still sign up free to the right >>).
Anyway it is Sunday and working on a Sunday is a sin so I will go say some Hail Marys and thrash myself before heading in the bath with a nice book on brainwashing. Exciting hey?

Economic Drinking Game
I'd like to thank my friend Andy for this. Round his place last night he suggested this great idea. Maybe it's not just me who's sick of hearing about the 'economic state', reading about the 'recession' and feeling like we're in a downward spiral.
Back in college we used to play a drinking game where you get a bunch of friends round one of the student halls and watch a movie, nominate a word and every time that word is mentioned you have to take drink the contents of glass or bottle you have in your hand. The best example was watching Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures and the words being 'excellent' and 'dude' - you get pretty drunk pretty fast!
So now lets move this up to the present time and every time you hear anything about the 'financial nightmare', 'economical state', 'downturn' or 'recession' you have to look around and take a drink.

How Coming Home made Going Away Worth It
I Had a great weekend, London is one of my favourite places on the planet. We had time to squeeze in two fantastic shows family musical extravaganza the Lion King and tense thriller Woman in Black bombarded our senses.Then when I got home I was all ready to get back to work when my friend Dean dropped me a link to what I think is possibly the funniest thing I have seen in a loooong time! I'd love to share it with you, you'll need your speakers turned up and be rest assured its not offensive in anyway so completely work friendly if you want to share it with your colleagues.

Proud Moment
Late last night I checked my email via Blackberry (naughty- I know!) and had received an email from Sgt. John Stephenson thanking me for the event on Friday, "Army guys are very hard to impress with things like that, but believe me you have left a lasting impression of an amazing night on their minds."John went on to say that they have booked a new, bigger venue for next year because the event is growing by the tonne and he wants me to perform again - I am truly flattered.
Then he noted that through the raffle and people coming along to see the show we raised over £4,000 for help for heroes! Today I hold my head up high - although I'm not the kind of guy to go out there and do the 'in the trenches' work, I have done something significant to support those who do. I'm proud of that. No doubt you'll be hearing all about Help the Heroes Weekend 09.
It does mean that I'll have to write a whole new act between now and November 09 - what a shame!
A Pressie
The post arrived yesterday and a strange shaped package was among the usual things. It was a CD with a lively little note from Liesbeth in Belgium. It was Liesbeth who was in charge of my gig for Mars a month or so ago in Budapest. The CD was a disc of various photographs from the event. I've posted one of the images here for you to see.

This weekend I have performed in a number of places, the most notable one was for the Help the Heroes charity where with a combination of my show and through hosting the raffle and auction of various sporting widgets we managed to raise a heck of a lot of money for the charity that supports those soldiers and officers who are wounded while working for our country. It was a superb night and with a bit of luck I'll get my mits on some pics from that night and share them here too.
Sack the Mind Reader - he sucks
Okay - turns out for someone who can read people's minds, the skills aren't working remotely probably due to the lack of sleep at the moment.
In a blog post the other day I made a jest at 'magicians' about their jokes, suits etc and it upset some people. A friend of mine who I respect immensely dropped me a line to say that people were offended - I absolutely did NOT want that. The point of the post was to take the mic out of me and how some see what I do - spikey hair, a Derren Brown wannabe etc etc to dispel the myths around what I do.
So a genuine apology to anyone who was remotely offended by that, if it spoiled a second of your day or made you shake your head just once or tut please accept this total apology.
I love magic, of all kinds whether its with the mind, with the hands or on stage it's all incredible isn't it. We get to make people laugh, we get to shock and amaze them and so much more!
My sarcasm was not received and the thing was taken seriously, so I truly am sorry and have now deleted that post. Please do forward this to anyone so that I can put this right.
